AV Dawson new Head Office, Port of Middlesbrough

Another successful project for SDS working with Brims Construction in manufacturing and installing the 170 tonne Structural Mainframe for AV Dawson's new Head Office. 

Allen Street, Sheffield

We were awarded the this 475 tonne Student Accomodation block in the heart of Sheffield by Warden Construction, our second major project with the Contractor.

The image was taken 5 weeks into a 17 week programme, approximately a 1/3 the way through installation.

Newcastle Central Mosque

We have just completed the 240-tonne steel mainframe for the Newcastle Central Mosque for Vertex Design & Build.

The structure was set within a 4-metre-deep concrete cellar, making surveys essential and dimensional accuracy of key importance.  

The structure fitted on the first time of asking and was completed in time and on programme.

The project was totally funded by the community, through donation, making it a very high-profile project as well as drawing a lot of interest from everyone concerned.

Sterling Pharma, Cramlington

This 140 tonne steel mainframe structure was for Sterling Pharma Solutions through Tolent Construction.

The structure was an expansion to the business, who specialise in small molecule API development and manufacturing services to the global pharmaceutical industry.

It was essential to adhere to the tight deadlines needed to bring this new manufacturing facility in on time, which we did with success.

AFC Fylde - Lancashire

A 330 Tonne project for Warden Construction was secured and delivered to a high standard.

All detailing, manufacture and erection was undertaken by South Durham Structures Ltd as a complete package with an on-site top coat paint also being applied.

The stadium is now fully functional and houses a state of the art 6000 seater stadium including a sports bar, 80 seat restaurant with roof terrace and 40 seat café and conference facilities.

Aklam Medical Centre, Middlesbrough

We carried out the Manufacture and installation of the Structural Steelwork Mainframe for Acklam Hall Medical Centre for Tolent Construction. Circa 220 tonnes. The hospital will eventually provide surgical, medical and assessment services to the community.

Quorn Manufacturing Facility, Billingham

One of our most recent projects a 370 Tonne project for Galliford Try. A promising project that has been well managed and delivered to site on time after various design changes throughout. Erection commenced June 2017 with a 6 week programme forecast.
